(Should you wish to copy and use substantial amounts of another workshop character's attacks, make sure to ask the author first.) You can check through your template or browse other characters for examples of how attacks can be set up. Grid Indexes can be difficult to get the hang of at first, but are not too complicated in practice. Then, each of the attack's 'Hitboxes' can be set to appear during a specific window frame. Each 'Attack' has a set number of 'Windows' that are cycled through in order. 'Windows' can be thought of as a group of animation frames. Grid Indexes can be separated into three categories: 'Attacks', 'Windows' and 'Hitboxes'. The rows of indexes and numbers here are what defines all of your frame data, hitboxes, sound effects and everything else. In the files listed here, Attack stats and properties are defined with a long list of 'Grid Indexes'. In Training Mode, you can press F5 to reload the character and test your changes quickly.Īttack information is stored in the 'scripts/attacks' folder. Rinse and repeat until your character's movement fits what you are aiming for. Try changing some numbers around, then open up Rivals' Training Mode and test out the character. For everything else, use the Rivals General Stats Sheet for a good point of reference. Even slight changes to these numbers can have a big effect on a character's weight and survivability. Take special care when editing your character's 'hitstun_grav' (default 0.5) and 'air_friction' (default 0.04). If you are using Sandbert as a template, it is very important that you edit these entirely, as Sandbert's stats are much stronger than the average character. See the Workshop Player Variables list to see what all of them do. 'scripts/init.gml' contains your character's base stats, and other base variables. You can also set your character's name and other information by editing the values in this file. For new characters you should erase the "url" tag. In your character folder, the file 'config.ini' contains important details like your character's name, description, author and item type.

The night I got the S10 Plus, I needed to use the new wireless power-sharing feature when I noticed that my Galaxy S9 Plus was down to 7 percent and going to die while I was still setting up the new phone. This Galaxy S10 gives another a boost, but it'll work with iPhone 7 and newer, too. Older ones would roll their eyes and scoff, then find out the password and change all your language settings. Kids Home: There's a new a mode in the notifications setting called Kids Home, which opens a parent-protected profile/walled garden for kids to take photos and download apps. It's not a difficult adjustment, and it's always nice to have alternatives. To navigate, you lightly flick up to use them (they "bounce" back down). Turn it on and the bottom of the display expands, leaving you with three horizontal dashes in place of the buttons. Gesture navigation: Navigation buttons are turned on by default, but you can unlock even more screen space by turning on gesture navigation in the quick settings menu. I'll be able to take a deeper dive once I'm settled back in San Francisco. That's difficult when bedtimes and wake-up alarms are erratic, and when you can't set a real "home" to use as a baseline test. I've been testing the Galaxy S10 Plus while also using it to cover the MWC conference in Spain, so I haven't had a set routine to really dig into how well this works. and turns on the Always-On display (yes, you can turn it off), surfaces specific lock screen shortcuts and turns off the blue-light filter I'll turn on for a bedtime routine. I was impressed with the IFTTT-like flexibility to set up routines, and the presets are easy enough for novices to get their feet wet.įor example, I set up a morning routine that starts at 6 a.m. Jason Cipriani/CNETīixby Routines: I'm not a huge Bixby fan and I only call it up by accident, but Bixby Routines could change my mind. The display around the front-facing camera lights up when you switch to take a selfie. I’m not sure why I’d ever need two timers going at once (cooking several dishes at the same time?) and I thought I would get to have more than one timer going at once when I saw “add a timer”, When I tried to start a 2nd timer, at first I thought the new one simply overrode the first one, but it actually DID have more than one timing!! Little dots at the bottom of the display allows you to toggle between them, and they are different colors so that helps. I am very happy that I can shut off the audio alarm and the flashing is very obvious.įeatures I wish it also had: the ability to count up so I could see how long something takes a preference to keep the display on top of all my other work so I can easily move through various windows and apps without having to go back and pull the timer to the front. I'm a a college professor and use this to time in-class activities and clicker questions, so I like to have the timer on the screen for my students to see, but there's always an annoying minute after one ends where I have to navigate my mouse to the tiny window to close it (awkward on a big lecture screen I can barely see since I'm right in front of it).I like that there are three display options (the status bar, the tea kettle in the dock, and the main display) I enjoy that the display changes color with each reset I appreciate that the display calculates what time it will be when the timer ends. There's one to show all timers, but you can't get rid of them once you bring them up. 2) I really wish there was a keyboard shortcut option for hiding/closing all timer windows. Having keyboard shortcuts for these options makes them less of an issue, but for anyone who prefers to do these things manually it could be a pain. I only have two complaints: 1) there is no way to set any of the visual controls like text size or brightness, and I have an incredibly hard time even seeing, let alone actually reading or clicking the tiny "reset," "pause" or "cancel" buttons on the bottom of the timer window. I use this timer for everything and love that it's so simple to use-a timer shouldn't make you *spend* extra time to set up, and this one lets me set any interval I need in about 1 second and lets you set custom keyboard shortcuts and routines. Great minimalist timer-needs some customization options Given the kettle icon, I was hoping that there would be a sound option of a whistling kettle, but alas, not in this version (maybe in the future?). I sometimes need to countdown and sometimes I need to say “let me know when it’s 4pm so I can switch tasks,” and this red hot kettle does it. It has several options to tinker around with, but I guess that the one I like the most so far is that it is both an alarm and a time tracker. I have found that other time tracking apps were too buggy or too slow and this one just works. I haven’t had it for many days yet so I can’t say if I’ll keep using it or not. I am writing this review because it will earn me 7 days of free battery, well, it’s almost as if I’m being paid to review this product and I think anyone reading should be aware of that. I wish the app allowed multiple devices, like Bear and other apps do. That is, I bought the unlimited battery on my laptop but the purchase didn’t carry over to the desktop. It seems that the app works independently from your apple accounts. Update: I am updating this review because I have the app on two devices. I just hope the app will warn me when I am close to needing a battery, and not wait until I am all out! I’m guessing the battery icon will help there, but haven’t used the app enough to see that go down yet.Īpp purchases does not carry over to multiple devices Then I discovered the tiling button and I can see all the simultaneous timers at once. I like that there are three display options (the status bar, the tea kettle in the dock, and the main display) I enjoy that the display changes color with each reset I appreciate that the display calculates what time it will be when the timer ends. Keeping things short, this application helps us to protect the original digital signature before doing jailbreak so that you can always return to the original values.I've installed TinyUmbrella 9.3.4 on several PCs, with different windows versions, and on all of them the installation seems to work, and the program starts, but it seems to just load some libraries during a splash screen and then nothing happens. If you did a jailbreak, give your iPhone its digital signature back. Tiny Umbrella restores that digital signature if it has been modified, so that it's possible to install new iOS versions as usual and run them without trouble. It's precisely the jailbreak process, that allows us to install applications from alternative stores like Cydia, that's based on altering this digital signature to install software that due to one reason or another isn't accepted on Apple's platform. Restore the iOS digital signature or SHSH Its purpose is to control the iOS versions that can be installed on the devices with this operating system, usually allowing the installation of the latest firmware version. SHSH is a small portion of information that is part of the digital signature that Apple implements on its iOS devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Apple TV). You want to get kills and show off how stupid you look. Chances are if you’re wearing a loud skin you’re trying to flex. Your loud skin might be akin to having a giant target on your back. Firing from a distance is much easier when a player model sticks out from the scenery like a sore thumb. This makes it easier to see you from a distance and easier to line a shot up. If you’re wearing a big or loud skin, you’re easier to spot. They can keep hitboxes the same size and unrelated to player models, but they can’t change your enemy’s vision. This is one section where Epic can’t trick players. The other area that skins affect you is visibility. Does Your Fortnite Skin Make You Easier to Hit from a Distance? You don’t have to worry that your Fortnite skin makes you easier to hit from a larger hitbox, but it does have some disadvantages. However, for the most part, this isn’t going to be a big factor in any game of Fortnite. Confusing players with a bigger model than hitbox is likely to result in more missed shots on you. There is an argument to be made that this is something of an advantage. This was because you hit the skin, but missed the actual hitbox. You might have struck a headshot on a Tomatohead, but no damage was done. This factor is sometimes what causes you to miss. This is true of the gigantic skins with massive heads and the smaller skins that are pretty much entirely a hitbox. Skins can be bigger or smaller, but the area inside of the skin that registers a hit always stays the same size. Every single player character has the same hitboxes. If you’re wondering if your Fortnite skin makes you easier to hit because it is bigger, the answer is no when it comes to hitboxes. It is a myth that your hitboxes are effected by your skin. Where is the harm? The hitbox question is a problem that just doesn’t seem to go away. Although, you might actually really like using this bulkier skin. Massive oversized heads or bulky bodies can make players pretty big compared to a default skin. This isn’t just some minor difference like the one between female and male models, it can be huge. Does Your Fortnite Skin Give You a Bigger Hitbox?Īfter spending a little bit of time in Fortnite, you notice the differences between player models. How much of an impact skins have on this though, is a little complicated. These two factors are pretty important for staying alive through games. The two main areas of concern for players are visibility and hitboxes. If your Fortnite skin makes you easier to hit depends on a few factors. This can lead some players to believe that their skin is affecting their gameplay. This is in stark contrast to the relatively unassuming default skins. Bulkier skins or those that are in really bright colors are pretty hard to miss. However, if you’re a user of a particularly loud or out-there skin, it might be costing you a few games. It is unlikely that your skin is the cause of all of your Fortnite losses. This makes the way they interact with the game different. Some skins are very different from others. While Epic may say that skins don’t change the gameplay experience at all, this isn’t really true. It affects certain things in the game and other things it has no effect on. Since skins look dramatically different in-game, a lot of players end up wondering if your Fortnite skin makes you easier to hit? Fortnite has always billed itself as a game where buying skins or cosmetics in no way affects your performance. Players go for the best-looking skins, the rarest, or the ones that are so ridiculous they infuriate any player who you kill just by their appearance. With the 10th annual Hunger Games fast approaching, the young Snow is alarmed when he is assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird, the female tribute from impoverished District 12. A partial summary from Lionsgate reads, "Years before he would become the tyrannical President of Panem, 18-year-old Coriolanus Snow is the last hope for his fading lineage, a once-proud family that has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol. However, it is known that the film will take place 64 years prior to the Jennifer Lawrence-led Hunger Games films, which themselves are based on the popular books of the same name by Suzanne Collins. Plot details regarding the film are still being kept close to the cuff. The pair are surrounded by, naturally, a songbird and a snake intertwined on the poster. Snow, meanwhile, wears an ensemble indicative of the president he will one day become. While images of the pair have been released before, this new poster depicts Baird and Snow in previously unseen costumes, with Baird appearing to be dressed in garb befitting of a songbird. Alongside the official trailer released at CinemaCon 2023, Lionsgate also dropped a new poster for the film, depicting protagonists Lucy Gray Baird ( Rachel Zegler) and Coriolanus Snow ( Tom Blyth). But will it have anything to say about our post Coronavirus world? That remains to be seen.Lionsgate is all-in on The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the highly anticipated prequel to the Hunger Games series. As it stands, the trailer sells a film with some intriguing elements. Director Adam Mason Writers Adam Mason Simon Boyes Stars K.J. Centering on a handful of people as they navigate the obstacles currently hindering society: disease, martial law, quarantine, and vigilantes. The true horror of Songbird could perhaps be its button pushing premise being slowly drowned out by Bay’s style. Drama Sci-Fi Thriller In 2024 a pandemic ravages the world and its cities. While there’s no source material to butcher here, Bay’s loud and regressive aesthetic can infect his producer efforts. The infamous director and producer’s company (Platinum Dunes) have been responsible for insipid horror remakes such as Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street. The ghost at the feast is producer Micheal Bay. My biggest problem with the trailer comes from its behind the scenes talent. “This is more about the unraveling of a community into chaos. In describing what the film is about, director David Gordon Green said: Indeed, the upcoming Halloween Kills (sequel to the 2018 reboot) has some trace element of post pandemic subtext. In fact, it would not surprise me if the horror genre deals more with the pandemic in the coming years. With this in mind, movies that deal with the pandemic should not be dismissed out of hand, in the same way that a movie like The Strangers should not be disregarded for depicting our fear of home invasion. In turn, the best movies in the genre powerfully speak to our fears and in a sense allow us to achieve a degree of catharsis. At its best, the horror genre can be a canvas for our fears to be projected and explored (be they realistic, supernatural or even outlandish). However, this is not necessarily a bad thing. With buzz words and phrases like “COVID-23, lockdown and grim new reality”, the trailer for Songbird does hit quite close to home. Naturally, this piqued my interest and made me go to YouTube with the speed of a locomotive train. Through a conversation with a dear confidante, I was made aware of the controversy of the trailer that seemed “too real” for our current pandemic times. While that allowed fans to watch the film at home, it was for the premium price point of 19.99, plus tax. The trailer for Songbird snuck up on me with the hard hitting force of a snowball to the ear (true story). Previously, Songbird was exclusively a Premium Video On Demand rental.
